This is the official Ghostbusters Firehouse Headquarters set being released by LEGO on January 1st. Perfect, just in time for me to not be able to ask for one for Christmas. WHAT THE HELL WERE YOU THINKING, LEGO?!

The 4,634 piece set features two floors with a laboratory, living quarters, the ghost containment unit, and nine Minifigs (Peter, Ray, Egon, Winston, Janine, Dana, Louis, a zombie driver, and the library ghost).

The set also comes with Slimer and a couple other ghosts, and costs $350. *spit-takes blood* $350? I don't have that kind of money! "Wait, why are you spitting blood?" I had a little accident brushing my teeth this morning. PROTIP: If your toothbrush falls in the toilet don't try using a steak knife instead.

Keep going for several more shots of the set in front of the actual firehouse used in the movie.

Thanks to Sandy, who agrees if there's something strange in your neighborhood you should call me and I'll go hit it with a spiked bat. Unless it's a ghost. If it's a ghost then I will have to use magic.

I used to have the firehouse playset, all the action figures, and even a proton pack when I was a kid. I wish I had held onto all of it.

So. Lego is OK with Ghostbusters but they declined Firefly/ Serenity because Inara is a "Companion"?

  • Wilf Smith

Yay for classic ghostbusters. Boo for the disaster-waiting-to-happen reboot.
