Guy Builds Himself A Functional Fallout Vault-Tec Vault Door For Basement Game Room

October 2, 2015

This is the Fallout Vault-Tec vault door that Redditor BIG_HAIRY_AZZZ (sick!) built for the entrance to his 1,000-square foot basement game room. I wish I had a 1,000 square foot basement gaming room. "CLEAN YOUR BEDROOM." Not now, mom, I'm talking to my friends! There's a video of dude opening and closing the door after the jump, which looks like it has a nice movement to it. I would lock myself in there day for day. Maybe weeks. Maybe forever and I would die in there. "DINNER'S READY." Shit, I gotta go -- throw a pebble at my window tonight and I'll sneak out so we can go get into trouble. Maybe the guy at the gas station will finally sell us a nudie magazine! Then we'll sit under a street light and take turns ripping out the pages we want. I get to go first though.

Hit the jump for several more shots and a video of the door in action.

Thanks to Viser, who agrees it's only a matter of time until feral ghouls are streaming out of there trying to rip your face off.

That's cool and all, but personally I wouldn't want to have to move some big huge circular door every time I wanna go play some video games, even if it isn't that heavy.

  • Huck PS

He maxed out in his Lockpick skill.

  • Jeff Buehring

There seems to be an error in his door....

I still haven't played Fallout yet. How authentic is this? Is there really some dude in shorts who slowly and clumsily opens and shuts every door you want to go through in the game?

  • Luka Mlinar

Game room? Looks more like a place where you take your victims :/

  • AmselZephlyn

Yeah, his victims for multiplayer games

  • Alex Nguyen

He's building it so the room is still under construction you damn panzy. I hope he improves the door, doesn't seem safe or efficient and other than that I think he did an amazing job.
