Squire, Fetch Me My Wine: Chainmail Wine Bottle Sleeve

This is the chainmail wine bottle sleeve available from ThinkGeek ($25). It keeps your wine bottle safe from sword and arrow attacks. It does not keep your wine bottle safe from being opened and drank though, which is why I'm a little bit tipsy right now. *hiccup* Hey. Hey. Hey -- let's make out.

Thanks to I'mYourHuckleberry, who is not my actual Huckleberry. OR IS HE? Maybe he is. Or maybe it's a she! MYSTERIES.

  • Den

Bah. I'm a chain maille artist, and I've been doing this for years. And better than they can.

  • I feel like there is going to be some spilled wine happening because of this. Serves no purpose and seems harder to hold than just a bottle.

  • Xockszky

Wouldn't that also keep the bottle colder, by acting as a heatsink (or in this case, a "coldsink"?), and by keeping the warmth of your hand away from the surface of the bottle? I'm no scientist but it seems like that would be the case. So it has a real function other than looking really cool! Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

  • Shiela Dixon

why no mention of the coolest thing in this picture - that goblet?!

  • Michael Knight

looks like he could afford only the wine bottle sleeve, as the arm looks to be protected by a long sleeved sweat shirt.
