Thanks, Internet: Dropped Shovel Sounds Like Teen Spirit

July 10, 2015

This is a fifteen minute loop of a man dropping a shovel which happens to sound remarkably like the opening riff to Nirvana's 'Smells Like Teen Spirit', spliced together with the beginning of the actual music video. These are the kinds of videos that make me happy. Also: people hurting themselves doing stupid shit. This was a two-for since the guy in the video falls and busts his ass. I feel like I just won the lottery. Not like a jackpot or anything, but maybe like $5 on a $2 scratcher. You take what you can get.

Hit the jump for the video, there's also a ten hour loop available in case you want to fall asleep to it.

Thanks to Jeffrey S, who's been recording himself throwing a shovel in his driveway all afternoon and hasn't managed to get anything good except his mom screaming at him.

How to ruin something that's 9 seconds of funny:
Step 1- Repeat it for 14 minutes and 52 seconds.
    Step 2- Profit.

  • timeiskey

    take the 10 hour challenge

  • Ollie Williams

The pitch was altered on either both or one of the shovel drops, so not really as impressive as it sounds.

the creativity is boundless in that teen pop group called Narvinia, they sound promising, maybe as good as the Creedence

  • Gene Kaufman

You just brought it to my attention that Kurt and Krist had a no go Creedence Clearwater Revival cover band...
    Who would've thought...

This c̶o̶u̶l̶d̶ ̶h̶a̶v̶e̶ should have been a 9 second video.
