Redesigned $10 Bill Will Feature A Woman In 2020

June 18, 2015

The U.S. Treasury has announced that a redesigned $10 bill will feature a woman when the note comes out in 2020 (to celebrate the 100th anniversary of women's right to vote). Will it be Wonder Woman? Will it be my mom? I vote that it's my mom, she is the nicest woman I know. Who's on the $10 bill now anyways? "Alexander Hamilton." It's been a while since I've seen that guy, I'm poor. Now I kinda want my face on something. "How about a milk carton?" How about an OLD WEST WANTED POSTER. That would be pretty cool. Ooh -- and give me a curly mustache. I can't grow one but I've always wanted to see what I'd look like with one. The Treasury is currently soliciting suggestions and votes via social media as to what graphic elements the new note should contain, as well as what woman should be featured, so rest assured the bill will look exactly like whatever 4chan wants it to.

Thanks to Stephanie A, who wants her face on all money orders.

In all seriousness, all American money should have cartoon characters on it since the country is becoming a joke anyway.

Funny jokes: All American money should have women's faces because their value is inflated everyday...b/c the average American women exchanges just as many hands...b/c it's every woman's dream to be in her man's wallet all day.

this is dumb. women on money will happen naturally over time, no need to force it before we have somebody worth putting on

  • I don't remember much about history, but Benjamin Franklin wasn't a President, so it would make more sense to replace a non-Pres with another non-Pres. Plus, you know, 100th anniversary, $100 bill.

  • asdfasdf

maybe hoping by 2020 they can slap hilldog on it? ;0D

Hooray for the government spending vast amounts of money they don't have to fix a made-up problem that isn't technically even a problem to begin with! Hooray, I say!

  • HeyJordyn

Well, they say you gotta spend money to make money to spend money on making more money to spend. Or something like that.

No, you see, it can't be Carmen Sandiego. If it was we'd know where in the world she is...
that is, in the pants of the U.S. Treasury.

Andrew Jackson opposed the Second Bank of the United States. So the Bank worked to create a recession hoping a bad economy would cause him to lose reelection. Jackson won and dismantled the Bank. Removing the only man who actually fought back against big banks and won from our currency would be a tragedy. He's there to remind us that the banks don't own the country, and if you think that sounds laughable these days then you better believe things would only get worse with this symbol removed from our currency.

I was just about to say the same thing. There's so much more poetry in changing the 20 in 2020. Also, as a Native American, I'm not a big fan of Andrew Jackson.

  • Ed

I looked up Jackson and he seems like a real jerk except for beating the British and fighting the banks.

  • timeiskey

ur a real native american that grew up with your native family?

  • Grand Old Drummer

Not on a reservation, but yeah. I had family that we'd visit on occasion up at the reservation. I've been to a few powwows and even got some financial help from the tribe for my college degrees.

  • timeiskey

I suppose that could be fun.
I prefer people to be as heritage neutral as possible but atleast preserve the art and music and records of the peoples philosophy if you will

  • WronglyRabbit

This is such epic bullshit, and all of the people who could actually belong on a bill Alexander Hamilton is the one. Instead they keep Grant and Jackson. Fuck whoever made this decision, they are straight up un-American.
