Watch Lost In Garden Found Still Alive After Twenty Years

June 17, 2015

This is a shot of the Casio F-91W watch that was lost by its owner two decades ago and found to still be working after all that time. It looks like it did not live an easy life. That watch has probably seen things. Unspeakable horrors. Still, they sure don't make them like they used to. Because I just started wearing a fancy new watch and it hasn't kept good time since the moment I put it on. "You do realize that's just a slap bracelet, right?" I did think it was weird the jewelry store was in the back of a van.

Thanks to lizzy, who doesn't wear watches and tells time the old fashioned way: asking other people.

I'm more amazed that the battery is still active. That is one seriously hardy power cell.

I always assumed that a battery wouldn't last 20 years even if not used.

Generally it doesn't, if you leave batteries in a Walkman or something, over a year or so the batteries start leaking (if not used), maybe because the power usage was steady and minimal it just made it:)

Straight from Christopher Walken's colon to your computer. Still has the original "dirt" encrusted on it.

Build in a time where a long lifespan was still an important factor of making a product.

< Lots of good stuff here. People especially need to understand controlling fat is good

but when you eat a fat free item alone your brain gets zero signals that you ate anything

so you remain ravenous and either eat too much of the item or go on to eat something else.

    GO AWAY.

  • I used to have one and they were a fantastic watch. I think my band broke which is why I got rid of it but the watch itself you couldn't kill if you tried and the battery lasts forever just like this story shows. I had mine for like 7 or 8 years and never had to change the battery and I found the watch in a car before that (my family owns a junkyard) so who knows how old it was when I got it.

googled and saw that it was OBL's watch of choice.

    Also Napoleon Dynamite!

Who knew that Osama Bin Laden and Napoleon Dynamite had something in common?!
