Terrifying Human-Powered Amusement Park In Italy

April 7, 2015

human-powered-amusement-park.jpg

This is a video of Youtuber Tom Scott touring Ai Pioppi, an amusement park built by a man named Bruno over the last 40 years with rides that are all powered by the riders themselves. This is the Bicycle of Death here, but there's also a roller coaster and a bunch of other rides you have to pedal, run or climb to power. What the -- I thought this was supposed to be an amusement park, not crossfit.

Keep going for the video.

Ah Europeans, always finding ways to make fun into hard labor

Those 7 stitches on his face at the end really was the best part. He states he tried to something he shouldn't have, didn't read the signs and now will have a scar for life. Take that Johnny Knoxville! LOL Seriously though, kind of looks a bit terrifying.

  • Gordon Freeman

Why does he sound like he's in pain while cranking this thing? Or is he just that out of shape?

*adds to list of spots to visit when in Italy* :D

  • Shawn Bibby

That is so cool! I want to go there too :D

I read the headline, and immediately thought of The Matrix

This would NEVER be allowed in the US nor Canada. Copenhagen has these little trampolines in the ground in the tourist section that are really fun to goof around on, but my first thought was how I could never have them back home. Stupid uptight assholes!
