Leonard Nimoy, The Original Spock, Has Died At Age 83

February 27, 2015

Leonard Nimoy, best known for his portrayal of Spock in the Star Trek series, died this morning at his home in Los Angeles at the age of 83. Not only a Vulcan, Nimoy was also an accomplished director, thespian, photographer and poet. Obviously, he lived long and prospered. *performing Vulcan salute* Rest in peace, Leonard.

Keep going for a video of Spock's funeral from The Wrath of Khan because crying is good for you.

Poor Sheldon Cooper. I sense a tribute episode is imminent. But seriously, my heart goes out to family and friends. I can imagine he was a great guy.

The autopsy should reveal whether the cause of death was lizard or paper shortly.

  • Fredrik Pettersen

Exactly! But isn't there supposed to be a pair of scissors and a rock as likely accomplice as well?

    "Leonard Nimoy just died!"
"I don't know who that is."
