Adam Savage Builds Scale Model Of The Hedge Maze From 'The Shining'

This is a video detailing Adam Savage building a scale model of the hedge maze from the Overlook Hotel in Stanley Kubrick's 'The Shining', based on the novel by Stephen King. It took Adam 55 hours to complete, and will be on display as part of the traveling Stanley Kubrick exhibit, currently headed to Mexico City. Man, I wish I had an estate with a hedge maze. That's when you know you've really made it. How you know when you really haven't made it? When you spend the better part of an hour complaining about how the microwaveable spicy chicken sandwiches you got two-for-one at the dollar store last night weren't nearly spicy enough when you had them for lunch today. Seriously though, there was like, no spice. I've tasted spicier Gatorade before.

Keep going for the video.

Thanks to Andrea, who

  • Palpable Ovaltine

News stand is too tall compared to the movie. Tear it down and start over.

I was thinking the same thing when they showed a side-by-side photo comparison. I'm surprised Adam didn't get that one right since he is a perfectionist.

Absolutely love the show, but Adam needs to get a pair of trimmers and cut down his hair to a #2. His receding long hair looks ridiculous.

He could admit that he is getting bald and shave his head. Them start using a beret to protect his head and finally grow a mustache, stopping smiling and speak with a deeper voice just to confuse people.

  • Ollie Williams

    You sir, are a genius.

Oillie, can I have your Sister-In-Laws Roommate's Number? From what I hear, she seems pretty Stable - Financially Speaking

  • Jenness

Hmm, I was hoping for more snow and bloody beaten terrified bodies and a frozen Jack Nicholson character.
