Diabetes: Monthly Japanese Candy Subscription Service

January 14, 2015

Japancrate is a monthly subscription service that sends a crate of Japanese candy right to your door. They come in three varieties, depending on your budget/how much weird candy you think you can stomach in a month:

Mini: $12/Month 4-6 Candies Half Pound Crate

Original: $25/Month 8-12 Candies 1 Pound Crate 1 DIY Kit
Premium: $ 30 /Month 10-14 Candies 2 Pound Crate 2 DIY Kits 1 Drink

Obviously, I just signed up for the premium service because 1. I'm fat and 2. I aspire to be even fatter. Plus I want the drink. Plus my roommate's credit card was on the kitchen counter so I figured why not splurge? Now are you thinking what I'm thinking? "You should also run out and treat yourself to a mani pedi before he gets home?" Mhmm!!

Thanks to TBTMH, who agrees the best candy is red Skittles.

childrens candy marketed at adults? next you'll be telling me playdoh made adult toys for kids. No thanks, i'll stick to the normal stuff, sportswear for fat people.

You can get most of these candies at a World Market store.

  • TheOtakuX

Yeah, but i have to drive 40 miles each way to get to a world market. After the price of the candy & the gas, this service is a good deal compared to that.

I have been getting Japan Crates and Skosh Boxes for a while and I am never disappointed!

I tried the original for two months, but even sharing it, it was a lot of candy. I still have some of the candy from two months ago lol. At least they don't give you any fuss when unsubscribing, and you can do it online, just don't erase the emails you get from them, because the link to unsubscribe is in there.

    Weeaboos will love this.

  • Nate Barrett

JList has been doing this for a long time.

  • MustacheHam

The DIY kits are pretty cool, I get enough satisfaction from watching them on YT.

  • What is a DIY kit for Japanese Candy?

  • GirlFromSpace

like, mix this powder glitter with this weird liquid substance and BOOM you got yourself some wet gum.

  • MustacheHam

It's like a science kit...but with candy and magic. 8D

  • JJtoob

That's more satisfaction than what you get from building them or eating it. I got a burger DIY kit, and it took so much work to make it, but I ate it in a second...
