Beautifully Stretched 1965 VW Microbus Limousine

January 22, 2015

This is a 1965 Volkswagen microbus that's been meticulously restored and stretched into a limo. It's up for sale on eBay now for $220,000, which could probably get you just about any other car you've ever dreamed of. Maybe two. Maybe even with enough left over for a decent pre-owned jetpack. The bus was restored with only the finest in high-end parts, has 33 windows, custom sound and light systems, and can seat you and up to eleven of your best friends. Don't have any friends? Welcome to the club. I meet at the bar and just stare at my beer and slowly peel the label off.

Keep going for a bunch more shots.

Wow, they did a really good job on that conversion from VW bus to Limo. I like the lights that were installed. This would definitely be a fun way to travel.

The fact that I don't see a mini bar in back makes the price tag that much more laughable.

If you hadn't told me it was stretched I would have assumed it was just a rare extra long VW bus. I don't know much about them. When I was a kid I rode in a late 60's VW bus one time. Only once because a few days later the owner rolled it over an embankment after sliding on ice. He was okay, but the bus wasn't.

But yeah $220,000 is too much.

Are you sure you weren't on a short yellow bus???

yeah this is awesome and all but uhhh 220k awesome? Whole bunch of nope. Further, where the fuck are the tinted windows? Anyone rich enough to spend this type of money on that type of limo is gonna be doing a whole lotta Blow, and I know (not from experience) that doing blow on some strippers while people can see you leads to experiences one doesn't wanna relive (again speaking from things I imagine/have heard not from experience).

What kind of mileage does it get?

    One highway, zero city

Does the surf board come with it? Otherwise, that might be a deal breaker.

Its amazing, just not 220k amazing. Probably not even 100k amazing. "Only the finest in high-end parts", is that laminate flooring I see? Yeah really "high-end"... I don't mind fake floors but for 220k I should be getting diamond encrusted floors.

I agree, this looks like the least amount of stretch anything one could get for almost close to 1/4 million dollars. I was expecting all the paneling to be made out of Ultra HD screens under break resistant Gorilla glass for that.
