Little Birds Learn How To Use Motion-Detecting Door

This is a video of swallows that have learned to use a motion-detecting door at the University of Victoria's bike-parking garage so they can gain access to their nests inside (which they made before the doors were installed). For reference, that makes them smarter than the 75% of Americans who always try to push doors that are clearly labeled PULL. "Yeah, well they should start with different letters." My roommate, ladies and gentlemen! I still can't believe he hasn't been court-ordered to live with his parents for his own safety.

Keep going for the video.

Thanks to April, who, despite my begging, refused to introduce me to the ninja turtles.
