Keep Beer Cool Underground With The eCool Can Cooler

May 28, 2014

This is the $350 eCool cooler. What does the e stand for? Environmental? No clue. Who cares anyways. The cooler, which is buried about 4-feet underground, can hold up to 24 cans which can be loaded or extracted via hand-crank. How cold the drinks get depends on the temperature of the ground around them, which I doubt will be that cool in the middle of summer. Who wants a beer? You want a beer? *tosses beer* "Jesus, GW, this is lukewarm." Yeah...I'd chug it before it gets any hotter. Just wait till fall though, bro -- shit's gonna be CRISP.

Thanks to Mike J, who chills his beers the old fashioned way: in a kiddy pool full of ice. Heck yeah, toss me some water wings and I'll bartend.

  • Great news! Thanks for sharing with us. People can also try kenzy beer cooler to keep their drinks cools under any temperature.

It's copy of a Korean underground Kimchi jar which is Koreans have done for thousands years!

Great Idea, Beer is meant to be "cool" not "cold". Americans would think different though, try marketing to Europe. They know how to enjoy good beer

  • do not feed the gophers!

  • KLanD

    Completely and utterly useless.

  • Nah, depending on where you are once you get down to about 4 feet the soil is always around 50-55 F. Still a warm beer... There are some farms that install long tunnels underground and use fans to blow air in one side and out the other and into their barns to keep the animals cool in the summer and warm in the winter.

so this is supposed to be like the geothermal heat pump type deal? dig far enough below frost line and its always the same temperature? but who wants beer at about 67 degrees?(except germans)

  • Sean Lally

    67 is perfect!

  • jeffrey jakubowski

or i can get a solar powered mini fridge that actually keeps cold as opposed to "cool"

  • ODwanKenObi

This would probably sell better for people who go ice fishing.

  • Luka Mlinar

Or you can not buy it and put your beer on the actual ice your standing on. :/

  • ODwanKenObi

That would completely defeat the porpoise of this device kind sir. What are we? Neanderthals?

  • steve holt

this will completely revolutionize the way people are disappointed by lukewarm beer. With the added bonus of callouses from digging.

  • steve holt temperature beer. Yummmmmy.

  • failtuna

We do this when camping, burying drinks near a river or stream keeps them pretty cool.

  • Luka Mlinar

Not where i camp. In 45 minutes the beer is already warm. Even in the shade or and river.

  • Sean Lally

What's a beer doing sitting around for 45 minutes? Drink that shit.
