Boy Builds Lil Excavator With Plastic Syringe Hydraulics

April 11, 2014

This is a video of a Brazilian boy who built himself a little model excavator using plastic syringe hydraulics. Most impressive. I'd pretend I could have made something like that growing up, but I'd be lying. The only thing I was making at his age were messes in my pants. "He's like twelve!" Damn, I thought he was sixteen.

Keep going for so much air scooping it's sick.

Thanks to Kalo, who's hoping he makes a whole set of model heavy machinery.

We did a project just like this in my engineering class in high school, making hydraulic machines with plastic syringes and wood. We were making claws to pick up and move pegs, not an excavator so the structure was somewhat different. But, even with good wood and power tools to shape them they didn't look as good or move as well as that. He took a lot of care making that thing.

That's awesome. But can someone get that kid some dirt to move?

poor little brazilian kid, having to play with used needles, not his fault that place sucks, he seems pretty awesome too to make that
