Blast Off!: Chinese Farmer Builds Space Shuttle Replica On Roof Of House

April 7, 2014

This is the space shuttle replica that a 60-something Chinese farmer built on the roof of his home in the Guangdong province. Obviously, all the neighbors are jealous. And can you blame them? Who doesn't want a spaceship replica on top of their house? Nobody I want to be friends with, I know that. That's like somebody who doesn't want to live in a treehouse. The only thing that could make this story cooler is if the shuttle turned out to be operational and dude blasted off for the moon one day. Honestly, I say the first country to set up a moon base gets to claim the whole thing. I don't care if there's already an American flag up there, it's been almost 32 years since we've been back, obviously we don't care that much.

Keep going for a couple more shots.

Thanks to Donald, who has every intention of building a giant X-Wing fighter on his roof, despite a very strict homeowner's association.

Sometimes you just need to be ready to leave.

Can you climb into it like a treehouse? If not then what a waste.
