One Man's Terribly Awesome Low Budget Cosplay Jobs

March 14, 2014

This is a selection of Anucha "Cha" Saengchart's low cost cosplay outfits. They actually look a lot more like no-cost cosplay outfits. Anucha runs a Facebook page called Lowcost Cosplay, which is filled with even more costumes. He definitely has a knack for capturing the essence of a character with as little as possible. Me? I have a knack for capturing the essence of human souls in soul snares and using them to perform black magic. Plus I'm pretty good at making voodoo dolls. *stab stab stab* Did anybody feel that? Somebody should be in great pain right now.

Keep going for a ton more.

Thanks to lilco, META, Carmen, ChaosLex and A, who have every intention of using one of these for this year's Halloween costume.

This is one of the funniest things I've seen in a long time. Almost every single image elicited a legit laugh. Awesome stuff, this guy rules.

What the hell is that gooey stuff surrounding that hot dog? 'Cause it's not a hotdog bun at all.

  • DrZanz

These are great but Guile and the second Cyclops look incredibly Asian.
Seriously though I love how the whiteface is incredibly half assed.

  • Kaizer Chief

Kudos for doing Toni Toni Chopper!

  • Littletroubleshooter

  • livia

we have a national contest about it

  • Jacob Abercrombie whiteface racists?

  • FrigginMitch

Clearly someone doesn't understand the reasons why blackface is offensive

  • Littletroubleshooter

No no! please explain to me, why I'm an ignorant white person when I go onto chat roulette in blackface.

    I'm interested.

  • Zaphod Beeblebrox

Its basically because Blackface historically was used by white people to mock/imitate negative black stereotypes. It was hugely offensive at the time. It is still taboo and considered racist because of this history, for the same reason that using 'jap' for japanese person is considered offensive: while 'jap' is just an abbreviation of japanese and blackface is just a type of makeup, the weight these things carry culturally is what makes them taboo.

  • asdfadfs

damn, beat me to it. saw, posted first thought, 3 hrs late

  • Liang Li

I was thinking the same thing... abit too liberal with the flour. I mean, Wolverine should have had Sharpie stubble, at the very least. That would've made it way better (ie, worse).
