Eye Strain: The First 3-D Animated GIF Music Video

December 12, 2013

This is the first ever 3-D gif music video, created for 'Tendency', a single from bands Estate and Liquid Pegasus. Personally, I prefer my Pegasuses solid, but that's just me and I don't drink tiger penis tea either thinking it's gonna make my boners bigger.

The video features 3D GIF street photos by Josh Johnson of the band Estate at locations around his New York City home. Johnson shoots with a vintage Nimslo camera which takes four frames simultaneously. He scans the 35mm negatives and uses Photoshop to stack the images on top of one another to create the GIFs. The result blurs the lines between photography and video, bringing the subjects to life...

I think maybe I should have included some sort of motion sickness warning because I am not feeling so hot right now. "You never are." Right? I think someone is trying to slowly poison me to death. TWIST ENDING: It turned out to be me all along, with alcohol.

Keep going for the video.

Thanks to Joshua E J and Neil, who are gonna make the first 4-D animated music video and really blow some minds. I don't think I could handle that.
