China Is Building This Crazy Wavy Pedestrian Bridge

November 12, 2013

This is the pedestrian bridge to be built over the Dragon King Harbor River in Changsha, China. Why couldn't I have been born a Dragon King? It was designed by Amsterdam based NEXT Architects and construction is slated to begin next year. Its form is supposed to resemble traditional Chinese knots and a Möbius strip. Just make sure to take the easy route, because that wavy one looks intense. Seriously, I'm just trying to get from one side to the other, not a workout. If there was a ferry I would take that and lie down on a bench the whole time.

Thanks to Stephanie B, who agrees they should build a series of catapults that launch you across the river into a big net.
