You jealous, Bane?

This is the Algaculture Symbiosis Suit developed by Michael Burton and Michiko Nitta. It harnesses the carbon dioxide you exhale to grow a colony of algae that you can later eat. Plus you look like a supervillain.

The suit debuted at a recent event at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. There, an opera singer donned the algaculture symbiosis suit and serenaded the gathered crowd. The suit created new algae populations during her performance, which audience members were free to consume after the presentation.

How many people do you think actually opted to try the algae she grew during her performance? My guess is not very many. Me? I would have tried it, but I'm adventurous. Plus hungry. *slurping algae* Mmmmm, great vintage -- you can tell the grower had some sizable lungs on her. "Seriously?" No, and I'm really regretting not eating before I came.

Hit the jump for the opera singer in full algae growing gear.
