Dare To Dream: Guy Tries To Get Drunk By Chugging 30 Non-Alcoholic Beers In An Hour (But Pukes After 28)

August 30, 2013

This is a video of Tim Janus trying to chug 30 non-alcoholic O'Douls in an hour to see if he can break the legal blood-alcohol limit of 0.08. He fails. After (amazingly) managing to put down 28 beers (336 ounces -- more than 2.5 gallons!) he only blows a 0.02, then pukes hard. So the next time somebody tells you they heard you can get drunk on non-alcoholic beer I want you to tell them 1. no you can't and 2. why would you want to anyways? Two $2.29 forties will get you right where you want to be just fine. Now shut up and let me borrow 60 cents for another one.

Hit the jump for the video.

Thanks to CaptinStabN, who sails the seven seas poking shit with his sword.

30 non-alcoholic beers is the equivalent of 3 regular beers. He'd have to be a real light weight to get drunk of 30 anyway.

I don't think I could even drink 28 bottles of water. Enough of any liquid and you could hurt or even kill yourself just due to the sheer volume.

  • JJtoob

Oooh, so before the volume, the electrolyte imbalance will kill you.

Yea I thought that was pretty interesting too.

Maybe he could succeed if he made beer enemas when he can't drink anymore, but that would be another kind of video...

California would say he is drunk thanks to the dumbest law amendment in
the history of man. If you blow a 0.01 you go to jail. What? A crock
of dino poop right? It should be based on a persons body mass index.
If you were a skinny chic or a wimpy dude 0.01 is fine. But if you
happen to be a big manly man whose blood alcohol index is constantly
under the previous legal limit (0.08) due to being a big manly man and
not a wimpy dude, then you go to jail for being a big manly man. My BAC
lingers around 0.07! Now I have to train myself and focus to become
the wimpy dude? Not cool broCAL, not cool at all. Who am I kidding? I
    don't even drink..

It's .08 bac for a dui, unless you're a minor than its zero tolerance.

    Damn... This guy is crazy!

Can you link to a source? Everthing I bring up still shows California as still using the regular old .08 standard...

  • Matthew Armstrong

Officers will argue that .05 is where most people start to become impaired, and they will produce experts to testify to this number. .08 is the place where everyone, regardless of BMI, will be impaired.

When pulled over, a common trend is asking if you feel any effects of alcohol and then can use that (if affirmative) answer as a reason for arrest, generally following a less-than-stellar sobriety test. Maybe you suck at balance. Technically any low amount of alcohol and poor sobriety testing can get you in trouble though, as they are looking for you to be impaired... and it isn't always due to alcohol here in CA, or other states.

I believe that the .01 number is due to probable impairment from "something" and not always alcohol.

(No vehicle code source found, but I served on a DUI jury and stayed at a Holiday Inn Express last night)

Why would you even want to try
