...Is My Bottle Moving?: Animated Beer Bottle Labels

July 26, 2013

This is a series of animated beer labels made by Trevor Carmick of Beer Labels In Motion. Mesmerizing, aren't they? If actual beer bottles did this I wouldn't even want to talk to other people while I drank, just stare at my bottle. Jk jk, I already hate talking to other people when I'm drinking. "Excuse me sir, would you like another?" SHUT UP AND LEAVE ME ALO-- oh, yes please.

Hit the jump for more.

Thanks to TBTMH, who agrees the best beers don't even come in bottles, they come in kegs labeled 'Natural Ice'. AHHAHAHAHAHHAA, WE KID, WE KID.

Maybe some day. I hope someday soon. Bottles with labels that move would be the coolest thing. Especially if they could scare you somehow when you were drinking. http://www.nwlabel.com

Wow.. these are way awesome! I've been looking for some quality bottle labels in Seattle WA, and wish they had these! Gave me an idea of what to look for. Something with the same style and flavor. So far this and http://www.nwlabel.com have been the most helpful. Thanks for sharing!

  • Anne Lawrence

Whoa, these moving bottle labels reminded me of Harry Potter! In Seattle WA, if that was real, it'd be a hit! I love it.

  • robWeeve

    soon they will move

  • BeckonsAttore

Oh man, we are already into the future, watch out! I swear, some of these bottle labels in Seattle, WA are too great. Oh but wait, it's not the future yet but are already good I think. ;)

    Imagine the possibilities!
No more need to browse NSFW /gif/ on 4chan!

The Magic Hat image looks like you're on LSD

  • Elak Swindell

If these moving labels were made for real, the best technology for their use would be Lenticular 3D imagery, where the photo shifts through various movement frames as the image is tilted around. It would be expensive to do it with color e-ink since the bottle would need a small battery source.

  • Matty Spinny

one set closer to living in a potter world. *happy*

  • Jadis

ok. Now give me the science. How do they do that?

  • jay h

    my god man ....

  • Jadis

    1. not a god, but thanks.
    2. not a man

  • jay h

To be a god you have to be all knowing, not a simpleton. It's a figure of speech sir.

  • Jadis

Oi, no need to be insulting, ma'am.

  • jay h

Oh my apologies miss ;) the pictures are .Gif's which are animated photos on a loop maybe you have seen them on the internet before? http://weknowgifs.com/wp-co...

  • Jadis

yes, yes, I know what a gif. is. However it's not inconceivable for the technology to exist that could make this a reality. As an example we can look at things such as ipads or picture frames that can display a slide show of pictures ect. Similar objects were once science fiction and are now reality, like the airplane.

  • Ramuran

Yeah, sure we have the technology to do it, but if that's the case, I don't think you'd be able to fit any of the drink inside after you put in all of the necessary hardware...

Edit: Or, at least not enough to justify buying them with how expensive they'd be. lol They'd be purely for advertisement at bars, or something, maybe.

  • Jadis

they would be expensive, that's for sure.
my husband told me about a year or more ago that he read an article talking about a group of scientists that were working on paper that would do exactly what these ads depict.

  • Michael W

It's a concept. So to answer your question, Photoshop.

  • Jadis

amendment; how do they plan to do that?
