The 1-Percent: The Chandelier Inside A Light Bulb Lamp

This is the King Edison Pendant Lamp made and sold by England-based mineheart. It's not actually a light bulb, just a light bulb shaped lamp with a miniature (and functional) chandelier inside. They cost £480 (~$730), making them infinitely more expensive than dangling bare bulb. It got me thinking though -- could you imagine where society would be without the invention of the light bulb? "In the dark?" Did you really Come up to my desk and get a gold star sticker, you're today's top student. I want you to go home tonight and tell your parents you did GOOD. Unfortunately, overall you've still done terribly, so you also need to tell them you have to repeat the grade.

  • Interesting fact (and me being terribly pedantic) but they're only chandeliers if they have actual candles. Electric ones are electroliers.

    Not that I would expect the people who buy them to clean them, but for whoever does this has got to be a dream compared to regular chandeliers.

  • These look like Christmas ornaments, like the kind you'd randomly find in a box buried in your grandparents' attic.
