3:30 Domino Maze/Rube Goldberg Machine Music Video

April 24, 2013

This is the music video for DJ A-Trak & Tommy Trash's song 'Tuna Melt', featuring an impressive 3:30 domino maze/Rube Goldberg machine, although it was clearly shot in sections. Still, I liked it. A LOT. More than I like my roommate, which is little to none and I actually daydream about ruining his life in between writing Geekologie articles. You ever stolen a roommate's identity just so they can't pay rent next month and get evicted? I have.

Hit the jump for the worthwhile video.

Thanks to legendaryxatdx, who's so legendary no Pokemon trainer has ever been able to catch him.

OK Go did it way better.. http://www.youtube.com/watc...

Sometimes I see videos like this and think, "That must have taken a lot of time, which makes it awesome." But this one looks to have taken so much time that it actually makes it feel kind of lame.

could've just had a few kids & some pets to make a mess like that without all the difficult setup

  • Guest

the time it would have taken for those kids to be planted, grown, born, and then raised into messy monsters would have taken less time too.

  • Jason Moore

I thought it was good. I mean, sure the transitions weren't the best. Can you really expect something like that to be done in one, smooth, continuous take?

  • CoolCrab

    It was an animation

  • Bryan Kral

A lot of the transitions from room to room were terribly done. Sadly you could see it wasn't a single motion. Like the parachutes, they fell, the guy walked through them falling, and then there was one already on the ground where it "triggered" the next sequence. Neat video, but they were sloppy.

    Horrible, horrible camera work.

  • I noticed that as well. I'm curious if this is a project from a film student.
