Where's Mine?!: Father Builds X-Wing Bunkbed For Son Complete With Cockpit For Watching Flatscreen TV

March 1, 2013

This is the X-wing fighter bunkbed built by DarthDaddy42 for his very lucky son (not to be confused with this Y-wing bunkbed featured earlier). It has moveable wings, lights, an R2-D2 copilot cooler for juice boxes, and a cockpit with buttons & switches and a flatscreen TV for watching DVDs. I know they say you shouldn't be jealous of three-year olds, but I am and I can't help it. I sleep on a mattress on the floor. An air mattress. It deflated long ago but I still sleep on it because I like to pretend all the carpet is lava.

Hit the jump for a bunch more shots while I bang my head on my keyboard.

Thanks to Alli, marcus, slam the sham and Christian, who told me they all had race car beds growing up to make me jealous. It worked.

  • Elak Swindell

Great job on the construction and all, but I guess he likes to endanger his kid by making him have to avoid smacking his head on the underside of the thing upon waking. That sleeping space is way too low. The kids hairstyle is bad too.

  • Turbosloth

Exactly, they should have just aborted him instead.

  • Man that's going to be cool when he's a teenager

  • Meh

I was jealous of this kid up until I saw that last pic. Sure he has a badass bunkbed, but in return he is forced to wear one of those fauxdouchehawk haircuts.

  • Eric Stodolnik

way to make all the other kids hate their dads

  • God

He should hook up Rogue Squadron or better yet, old school x-wing!

  • Dieter Grosswiler

HEy I'm getting some wierd page saying thqat this is a malicious attack site or something like that, just hought I should let you know, not sure what it's all about!

  • Captain Matticus, LP Inc.

That looks like what you'd buy from a store! Look at all that floorspace! There's so many activities!!

  • Joel Lamm

    that is Awsesome!

  • Rangasoup

Seems to be fine now, weird.

  • Rangasoup

The site is getting marked as an attack website for me. It works now but my browser automatically disables javascript.
