Animated Battle Of Hoth Scene Recreated In Minecraft

October 3, 2012

This is a video of the Battle of Hoth recreated in Minecraft with the original audio from The Empire Strikes Back. Whoever made it did a good job. Me? I got a "should have been fired years ago" on my most recent peer evaluation here at work. I don't know who wrote it but *standing up in chair to look over cubicles* IF I FIND OUT I'M GOING TO KILL THEM. *sitting back down* I think it was that cheeseweasel Dave over in PR. Come on bro, we've been stall neighbors in the bathroom before -- I thought we shared something. I was the one who said he liked your shoes!

Hit the jump for the video.

Thanks to my life-coach Terry, who should probably be fired and replaced with a Teddy Ruxpin.

  • Its really impressive that someone designed and modded all those things to recreate the scenes. I don't know about anyone else but i personally could not do that and am very impressed by the determination that was put forth to create it.

so everyone just kinda stands around? I wouldn't actually call that a battle.

its like my wife in bed, just lays there
    ..... just sayin

if you know anything about Minecraft To actually animate the AT-AT would require the builder to first build it take a screenshot and basically destroy and rebuild anything that needed to be moved then take another screen shot and so on. it could take weeks to get a few seconds done. Yeah that would have been more impressive but I would have though that it would be impossible to do in any reasonable amount of time.

we have plenty of time. let's see some animation.

  • FlickerNipples

This looks like it was made on 3d Movie Maker - ahh the memories

Why the hell did they not TNT the hell out of one of those AT-ATs?

  • Do you have this as a powerpoint? Maybe I'm missing something.

  • Parrot

    that was extremly dull.
