WEAK: eBay Bans The Sale Of Magic Potions, Spells

August 16, 2012

Because eBay is run by a bunch of Muggles, the online auction giant has decided to ban the sale of magic potions, curses, spells, and anything else cool that might be worth buying. Fingers crossed cat jewelry is still a go (for my sister's sake).

Effective August 30, eBay's 2012 Fall Seller Update will prohibit users from selling the following:

"The following items are also being added to the prohibited items list: advice; spells; curses; hexing; conjuring; magic; prayers; blessing services; magic potions; healing sessions; work from home businesses & information; wholesale lists, and drop shop lists."

I'm sorry, but I thought wizards were pretty much the only ones left still using eBay. You lose the magic demographic and who are you left with? Exactly, one single loser looking for the Beanie Baby he needs to complete his collection. "Is that loser you, GW?" F*** no bro, I put my money in Precious Moments figurines.

Thanks to melony, Bryce and Amanda, who have thankfully already stocked up on Harry Potter wand replicas.

I hope they don't go after the lucrative haunted dolls section

  • Hooligantuan

I heard there were a lot of fake magic potions being sold to foolish customers that couldn't tell what was fake and what was real.

I hope this also includes silly things like Holy Books ( Bible , Qur'an, Torah, etc ), Crucifixes, Hair from a Saint, Virrrrrgin Mary Statues, so on so forward..

My only concern will be find another place where to buy cheap parts to my vampire killer( breaks apart all the time..)..
and silver daggers, ..damn you never ending werewolves..

what surprises me most is that there are 5 sold.

  • This is only going to boost sales on Etsy then.

  • eBay is obviously buying them all behind the scenes for their own nefarious deeds.

  • Can I still sell my soul on eBay?

  • BillGatesIsYourDaddy

    yes you may....and I bid $5

  • Guest

    I bid $5.25.

  • So how am I supposed to sell my 'sawing a person in half' kit?

  • AdvancePlays

Does that mean no replica potions or anything can be sold? Or just potions that people think are true?
