Note: Loud and also some cursing and general broness.

This is a video of 29-year old English professional poker player Jake Cody after winning £42,000 (~$58,400) in a poker tournament and deciding to bet it all on black at the roulette wheel. He wins. Of course a quick check of Jake Cody's Wikipedia page reveals his live poker tournament winnings alone total over $4,100,000, so really this is just a video of an already rich person getting richer. Must be nice *buys five $20 scratchers, loses every single one, yells at the convenient store clerk for selling me shitty tickets* I really don't know how much longer I can go on like this.

Keep going for the video.

Thanks to my buddy hairless, who mistakenly bet it all on red and is now living in the backseat of a car (and me in the front seat).

Not sure if his friend would be allowed to spin the wheel? I know that wouldn't fly in a US casino....

  • Brent Turcotte

not much of a payout but a huge loss if he had lost. would of been a 33:1 payout if he guessed the #

I didn't watch it but help me out here, what did he win from that gamble? Like they paid him another 58000 so he doubled his money? Or he won more? Or what?

  • Brent Turcotte

no when you bet red or black in craps you get a 0.25% payout of your bet its kind of the safe mans bet as there is sometimes 1 green sometimes 2 green for 0 and 00 depending on the roulette table. also casino's and payouts are different for each table didn't look into it to much. but choosing a odd/ even or black / red are pussy bets. slow payout. the real money is the 33:1 payout on guessing the exact number.

Hey DW! Just thought you should know, most $20 scratchers have a 1 in 3 chance of winning. 😂

  • ZerglingPack

Well at least he was on a European wheel that gives him that ~1% better change of winning, pure strategy. :) Also I'm a bit surprised that a house let him bet that much, I think Caesars Palace has a max bet of $50,000 on the outside.

Congrats on winning enough to buy my house... Now buy my house! Seriously... I don't want it anymore.

  • Daniel Washington

    Well gambling sure looks easy.

If the dude is worth over 4 million, pretty sure he can buy mostly whatever he wants, whenever he wants.

  • shashi

well, he's not quite at the 'buying kidnapped tourist girls at auction+freebasing rhino horn+buying warheads through a Panamanian shell company' level but he's got his whole life ahead of him

  • Bling Nye

    Well gambling sure looks easy.

  • GeneralDisorder

Gambling is super easy... Becoming rich from gambling is not an easy thing.

  • Bling Nye

    Depends on who you ask.

  • GeneralDisorder

I mean... If you get a "small loan" of a few million dollars it's probably pretty easy.
