Impressive: A One Minute Side-Scrolling Cartoon Recap Of All Of Breaking Bad

January 23, 2018

To celebrate the 10 year anniversary of the series (has it really been that long?), this is a one-minute side-scrolling cartoon recap of the entirety of Breaking Bad. It made me want to watch it all over again. Unfortunately, I already have a long list of shows to watch, which was created entirely by my girlfriend without any input from me whatsoever. What's Outlander -- is it any good? "You're gonna love it." I was asking them, dear. "Tell him he's gonna love it." See? This is what I have to live with. "You do all realize I only exist inside GW's head, right?" JESUS -- I'll watch your shows, okay?! Just please stop making me look bad in front of my friends.

Keep going for the video.

Thanks to Luc, who agrees AMC could have saved a fortune if this had been the actual show.

Does anyone else want to see this from Skylar's perspective?

    Or Walt Jr's perspective...

  • FearlessFarris

    Skylar was the worst.

  • GeneralDisorder

Yeah. Fuck that bitch for being concerned and trying to keep a marriage going! What a ho-bag!

Seriously, I couldn't stand her character in the first few episodes. It got way less irritating as time went on.

Breaking Bad > The Wire forever and ever amen

  • FearlessFarris

That's like saying sausage links are better than bacon. It's ok to love them both.

  • TheQiwiMan

Maybe I should give the Wire another try. I couldn't make it through two episodes, the pacing is just soooo sloooow.....

  • FearlessFarris

That's a very fair critique if you've only watched the first two episodes or less. I remember thinking the same thing when I got started with the series. Then, at a certain point 3-5 episodes in, I started to understand what everyone had been talking about, and I was pretty much hooked from there. It helps to get over the mental hurdle that, while there's an incredible narrative arc, there isn't really a main character like there is in most other dramas. Imagine NYPD Blue, but instead of just telling the story from the perspective of the cops, it also tells it from the perspectives of the criminals, and the politicians, and the dock workers, and the teachers, and the homeless, and the newspaper journalists, etc.

I'm probably selling this too hard.

Anyhow, it'd be well worth your time to revisit the series some day, but start from the beginning and give it four or five episodes. If you didn't come away thinking it's some of the best TV you've ever seen (on par with BB), you'd be in a very small minority.

They're two entirely different shows. I love them both, dearly....but nothing will ever top The Wire for me.

  • GeneralDisorder

Having never seen The Wire I feel confident in saying it sucks and isn't fit to wipe the ball sweat of Breaking Bad.

Edit: I assume I don't have to say this but obvious sarcasm is hopefully obvious enough. I do intend to watch The Wire some day. But knowing me, I'll forget.

    That was neat!
