A Beautiful Chess Set Made Entirely From Stained Glass

This is the stained glass chess set made by Redditor and game designer KnowNothing_JonSnoo's father (who's a stained glass artist) and given to him as a birthday present. As far as birthday presents go, that looks like a pretty nice one. All the crap my friends got me last year? Total garbage. "They actually bought you things?" Well not exactly, I just pretend all the junk I drunk-bought on Amazon after nobody came to my party was all from them. What is this, a plastic fruit set? "Those are sex toys." I have the best friends in the world!

Keep going for a closeup.

Thanks to daniel, who agrees chess is a game best played with a friend with little to no strategic knowledge, and a cooler full of beer.

Looks safe. Especially the lead or pewter rings around each piece.

That's actually quite lovely and the fact that it is illuminated makes it quite useful as both a glowy light source and game. With LED it won't even get hot either.
