Guy Performs Rush's 'Tom Sawyer' While Simultaneously Playing Drums, Guitar, Singing

This is a video of musician Dominic Fragman performing Rush's 'Tom Sawyer' while playing the drums, guitar and singing simultaneously, presumably because the rest of his band mutinied on him. And what do you do when the rest of your band leaves you? "Find out where their new practice space is and burn it to the ground." What? No. I mean yes, but you shouldn't say that out loud. Also: the name of you-know-who. "Voldemort?" WTF, are you trying to get us all killed?! Just kidding, Voldemort isn't real, I was going to say Bloody Mary. One night not too long ago I really did close my eyes and spin around in front of the mirror in my bathroom and say her name three times. You wouldn't believe what was staring back at me when I opened my eyes! "Your penis." You know me too well.

Keep going for the video.

Thanks to lizzy, who agrees he should do Free Bird next. Honestly, I think he should have done it first.

  • This is pretty amazing.

Over-achiever makin us all look bad.

    :-P

  • Bling Nye

    Needs more cowbell.

  • I admire the determination, but he was completely out of key the entire song. Sounded like the instruments were tuned to be an octave lower than they should have been.

  • Jason Christopher

You trying singing as high as Geddy Lee through a whole song!

  • Oh, I know. My time with Rockband has taught me that, haha. It's a near impossible note to hit.
I was solely referring to the way the instruments were tuned, I should have clarified that.

  • Jason Christopher

I hear ya. A lot of musicians will downtune the instruments so that they don't have to sing as high, if you get what I'm trying to say.

  • Andrew Newton

Try YYZ next time fuckboy, then'll I'll be impressed.

  • Man... I want to hate you, but I'm a sucker for a good "fuckboy" reference.
