This is the tiny Super Mario Bros diorama built by Jason Chichon. When hand-cranked, it provides a VERY minimalist crawl of level 1-1. Awesome (although I'd suggest a sky background instead of Mario), now that you know it works, ramp up the size and make a life-size version. Like, big enough for me to actually run and play in. Has anybody done that -- made a life-size Super Mario Bros obstacle course with trampolines and stuff? I feel like that could make a lot of money. I mean, provided Nintendo and/or the family of the first person who dies doesn't sue your nuts off. I'd do it myself, but I lack the funding and like my nuts just the way they are. "Hanging below your knees?" Correct, and? "Tucked into your boots for warmth." You complete me, you really do.
Keep going for the video.
Thanks to MD, who wants to see a Metroid version with horizontal AND vertical movement.
