Woopsie: Church Accidentally Prints Tupac's Lyrics To 'Hail Mary' Instead Of The Prayer In Their Carol Booklets

Somebody responsible for collecting the lyrics to the hymns and prayers in the 2016 Joy To The World carol service in Sri Lanka accidentally printed the lyrics to Tupac's 1997 song 'Hail Mary' instead of the traditional Catholic prayer. I don't know about you, but that does bring me great joy. Still, no word if they actually sang the song, but I'm sure Jesus would have loved it. "Hands down, that's my new Christmas favorite," I imagine him telling his dad in Heaven.

Keep going for shots of the actual song lyrics from the booklet.

Thanks to ML, who agrees they should have included Madonna's 'Like A Prayer' and Bon Jovi's 'Livin' On A Prayer' as well.

  • Clampity

It's like someone was watching the Simpson's episode where Bart switched the hymnal with In Da Gadda Da Vida and thought "I can top that shit"

  • Richard H Sanford

Did no one proofread it before sending it out??

  • Eric Ord

Of course. Why wouldn't they? They wanted to print the Tupac version.
