Japanese Burger Shop Sells Burger With Meat Patties For Buns

Taking a page from KFC's Double Down playbook, Tokyo-based hamburger restaurant Shake Tree is selling the Wild Out, a burger with hamburger patties for buns. The burger starts at 1,450 yen (~$12) and can be customized with more patties, cheese, egg, sauce, condiments, etc. So...basically it's just a pile of meatloaf. Are you supposed to eat it with your hands? Because that looks messy and I'm already a messy eater. "You have a pickle in your hair." That's not the only place I have a pickle. "Please tell me you're not talking about your penis." I'm not, I actually just found one trying to hide out in my belly button. *pops in mouth* Better luck next time!

Keep going for a couple more shots. And for the record, it's served wrapped in paper so I guess you're supposed to eat it and the paper.

Thanks to Dave L, who agrees buns are just empty calories anyways. Except mine, mine are full of fat and protein. Mostly fat though.

I would try that! Too bad you can't get away with this in North America without health groups protesting. KFC had something similar to this but with chicken, and it was banned in Ontario.

Something tells me that if things had gone differently in '45, this wouldn't be a thing (at least not in Japan).

I'd rather have a burger with fries for buns

on 2nd thought not giving you assholes my billions dollar idea

I have put fries on my burgers since I was a kid. People always look at me weird when I do it, but you and I know what's up.

  • ToyBoxofGuns

    If it's meat, it's not a bun.

Also, that rancid shot of the raw meat fuggin' gross.

  • the antagonist

Raw meat? That's a perfect medium rare. If you want well done mush go to McDonalds you basic walnut.

  • palpable ovaltine

Medium rare is for steaks, not hamburger. Hamburgers should be medium to medium well. I could see an exception for really thick patties, but these aren't.

  • Guesticle

    "mediumrare"

  • the antagonist

This looks like a terrible idea.

    But I still want it.
