Diver Has Been Friends With A Wild Fish For Over 25 Years

This is short video of Japanese diver Hiroyuki Arakawa and his Asian sheepshead wrasse friend, Yoriko. Apparently they've been visiting each other for over 25 years, and if Hiroyuki dives down to a certain underwater Shinto shrine in Japan's Tateyama Bay and bangs on the bell with a hammer, Yoriko will show up for some friendly petting and treats. That almost sounds like part of a Zelda game. I like how Hiroyuki takes his mask off and regulator out so he can really appreciate his fishy friend, that was cute. Me? I don't appreciate my friends at all, mostly because they're rotten people. "Maybe you should make new friends." Whatever, these jerks were hard enough to befriend, I don't have time for anyone else.

Keep going for the video while I try to make fish friends at the pet store. Oooh, that floater might like me.

Thanks to Allyson S, who agrees you can make friends in the most unusual places. Except bathrooms. "Girls make friends in bathrooms all the time." Girls are weird!

  • Meiky Micahel

Nobody gonna point that huge-ass octopus tentacle trying to grope the old man at 1:16???

  • Titty McNipplefondler

Is that the dork fish that red necks are always going on about?

  • Meh

Japanese and feelgood, always plus 1.

Also this is basically feeding the ducks but underwater. And diving is so trippy, this guy is almost at home underwater.
