Turn 3 Seconds Of Speech Into A Custom Ring

This is one of the rings made by Japanese startup Encode Ring. Basically they take up to a three second waveform of speech and turn it into a custom printed ring. It's similar in concept to these previous waveform rings and bracelets. You can go to their website and make a recording to see what the waveform of your speech looks like, and prices range depending on your metal of choice from $115 (stainless steel) to $1,235 (platinum). What would your ring say? I want one as a clever icebreaker for when people ask what it says. Something like, "Stop! You're standing on my penis."

Thanks to vishal, who wants one of screaming.

I'll open a business that turns a custom waveform ring into a 3 seconds of speech. Profit!

  • Mine would be of Smash Mouth's hit 'All Star' compressed into a 3 second clip.

Unfortunately, there is no way the "encode" ring could be decoded as it would require micrometric precision.
With such a low resolution, I'm not even sure that "I love you" could be distinguished from "you bastard".

hi, I'm a manager of EncodeRing! Now, we will send a card printed qr code to play the voice what you recorded, so you can hear it!

Good. So if I, a Methodist, wants to buy a ring for my Jewish friend encoded with "kill the jews" there's no way she'll find out? Crap! My plans have been leaked!

Also who are we kidding? That's the logical conclusion. To make people wear hate speech without them knowing.

That's how you play the pranking long game. When future generations are gonna be the ones who realise.
