Thanks, Internet: A Dominatrix Deer Dancing At A 1980's Furry Convention

October 19, 2016

vintage-furry-dance.jpg

This is a 15-minute video of furry pioneer Robert Hill dancing in the 'Bamboid' dominatrix deer costume he made for the 1989 ConFurence, the "first exclusively furry fan convention." Songs include hits from R.E.M., Weird Al and Peter Gabriel. Maybe it will turn you on, maybe it will turn you off *shrug* it just made me hungry.

Keep going for the video.

Thanks to Daniel, who may or may not be constructing a life-size Teddy Ruxpin costume.

I was 5 years old when this happened. Oh well. I'm not under any delusion that my generation invented sex or fetishes so this is not any more disturbing than if someone did this today.

So...my problem with this is the description of this as "dancing". Perhaps 'pioneering' in a whole, rich plethora of other ways, but dance this is not, really. It is barely 'walking with hip-sway.' I guess people were just having their minds blown that they could have their own convention and that dominatrix deer could be on stage.
"Dance" makes me think of something more like this: https://www.youtube.com/wat...

The first 13 minutes is like a David Lynch movie. I'll never be the same...

    We need a good plague.

I look forward to well reasoned and civil conversations in the comments section.
