Scary Halloween Decoration Pulled From Shelves After Complaints

This is the $30 Scary Peeper Creeper Halloween decoration that was recently pulled from the shelves of Canadian Home Depots after disturbing a number of shoppers (although still available online HERE, also available as a motion-activated version that taps on the window). Admittedly, that would be terrifying to see out a dark window and I would have no choice but to jump-kick through that window or have a heart attack and die, whichever comes first.

This Halloween prop was designed to be used as a prank, but it received customer complaints and one of them even contacted CBC News. "I fail to see the humour in it," Breanne Hunt-Wells, a concerned teacher and mother of two, said during her interview. "It makes light of a very serious crime. Voyeurism is a crime in Canada."

Long story short I just boarded up all my windows with plywood so I don't have to worry about getting pranked like this. Or worry about real peeper creepers. That's also why I have a guard dog. And by guard dog I mean direwolf and motion-activated laser turrets. "What's up with the moat?" Filled with flesh-melting acid.

Keep going for a couple more shots and a video of people being pranked with it, as well as a video of the animated tapping version.

Thanks to Nope, who hands down has one of the best responses for when somebody asks your name.

Not so Halloweeny, but more like Hellofcreepy.

  • TheQiwiMan

WTF?? I'm gunna sue, they used my likeness without my permission!!

  • Torse

Wouldn't it be looking OUT of your window?
Is it illegal to look out of your own window?
what exactly is going on here, Canada?

  • biggs33

Damn, when did Canadians become such pussies? Or was it some of our whiny Americans moving to Canada early because they're afraid of Trump taking over?

  • The_Wretched

If it's legal for cops to peep in your windows (and it is), why not this?

  • King POTUS

The decoration isn't "illegal", the store just stopped carrying it after a bunch of whiny babies complained. DUH.

  • Jeedai Infidel

The same whiny babies probably say nothing about all of the "sexy" costumes made for children. This world is upside down.

So's y'know, murder and dismemberment, eh? I suppose all the violent death, mutilation and whatnot isn't making light of a very serious crime, like, oh, murder, eh?

    Soory, eh.

  • King POTUS

When someone say "I fail to..." always say "Yes, YOU fail. That's why you're the only one having a problem understanding."

That's true. Voyeurism is a far more offensive crime than other Halloween props that show a a man holding a decapitated head.

  • Henery Henkles

    That would be scary AF

You can say automated fingering, it's ok.
