$250,000+ McLaren Gets Windshield Shattered By Angry Skateboarder

July 20, 2016

This is a video of two bros in a $250,000+ McLaren running a stop sign and honking at a skateboarder, which makes him fall so he uses his board to shatter the car's windshield. You don't actually get to see that part though because the person filming is too distracted by their crappy sunset footage. Come on, Apple isn't going to use this for their next 'Shot On An iPhone' ad. You do get to HEAR it all happen though, and see the aftermath, which involves the guy riding shotgun chasing the kid (presumably to commit murder) and the driver speeding off. This is why drivers shouldn't run stop signs, it's dangerous. And why skateboarders shouldn't hit expensive cars with their boards, that is also dangerous. Especially to yourself. If a person has $250,000 to spend on a car, they definitely also have the money to make a skateboarder disappear.

Hit the jump for the video.

Thanks to Zootghost, who agrees it's important to know when to hold em, know when to fold em, know when to walk away, and know when to run.

Nope! Skateboarding on the road is not worthy of this punks criminal action to cost someone else a lot of money!
I hope he was caught and he or his parents were forced to pay it all back with interest.

Prime self entitlement move right there.

  • G-man

He should be glad that he only hit the windshield and not anything els.

  • Heiko Jasper

    Selber schuld der scheiß Prolet...

  • Wiley

I hope the kid got away because I can't not see a violent turn out if he didn't, and I'm not a fan of violence... But I think all the people involved in this scene were idiotic and I'm not impressed or happy by anyone's decisions. Booo

  • GeneralDisorder

OMG!! That windshield is only like $3000. That's cheap for the type of car it is.

Fuck that stop-sign blowing douche nozzle and his shitty broken windshield

And, side note, if a skateboard can do that much damage imagine what literally any road hazard would do if you're going 100 mph or more. And that car can allegedly hit 204 so... it should be stronger or perhaps made of polycarbonate or lexan or something less breakable.

  • Bling Nye

There's over a million 4 million (fuck it's really gone viral) views of it on youtube now, probably netting them much WAY more than $3000... which is why I'm convinced this is completely staged bullshit.

  • Meh

Good for that kid. Haha great to see that old asshole running so hard and still not catching the kid.

Who's? The asshat driving the McLaren or the shit giggle riding the skateboard?

Personally, I'm more inclined to be on the side of the poor schlub riding the skateboard, since last time I checked, a human life > traffic laws...

  • Munihausen

The shit giggle; negligent move by the driver to be sure, but the kid clearly was not injured. If he was hit, he very, very easily could have "sorted it out" with the driver particularly with dozens of witnesses just standing there (likely what distracted the driver).

Property damage legally unjustified, kid knows he is judgment proof - we need to work together to eradicate this vandal-like mentality with our young people.

  • Patrick

Insurance is a thing. His window can be replaced. A life can't.

  • Munihausen

Yes......but the kid wasn't killed or, likely, even injured, so...what do you want to do? The kid's behavior is justified? If the car was a junker being driven by on old African American woman, would the kid's behavior still be acceptable? If so, you are insane, and if not, than the issue is not really about the guy stopping 4ft past the stop sign, but that he looks like an asshole (i.e., he is making you insecure) in his flashy car.

  • Gilbert

Considering that I've been a first responder to a vehicle vs person on more than 1 occasion, I still side on the skateboarder's side...

You may justify your comments with "the kid wasn't killed" but I've personally seen cases where the car was going about as fast as the asshat's and it put the person into a coma for weeks after their head bounced on the asphalt...

  • Munihausen

The driver clearly was negligent, on that we can agree. I do not think, however, that the kid was justified in breaking the guy's windshield. If the kid was actually injured, he was in a prime position to recover for that injury either through calling the police or, basically, shaking the guy down in front of bystanders. Otherwise, he should have just gotten on with life.

  • Bling Nye

Call me cynical but that seems fake as shit, totally staged.

  • TheOtakuX

I'd think if it was staged we'd actually see the smashing.

  • Bling Nye

Maybe? Maybe not. I'd be more inclined to think it wasn't staged if he'd smashed the hood and caused some significantly more expensive damage.

  • CrazyUncleNicola

He did it with a skate board He didn't have a sledge hammer.

  • Michael Knight

right? literally doesn't turn towards the action, instead focus on the sidewalk??? and happen to capture this in front of about 100+ people?
