Kind Of Want: Smartphone Controlled Bionic Bird

This is the $150 Bionic Bird available from ThinkGeek (among other places type bionic bird into Google do your research I'm not your personal shopper). You control the bird's flight by tilting your smartphone. I remember having the analog wind-up version when I was a kid. That thing used to crash so hard you almost felt sorry for it.

You can fly it indoors or outside using your phone, and Bluetooth® 4.0 allows you to control your bird up to a distance of 100 yards away. It flies for 8 minutes on one charge and comes with a clever portable battery solution that lets you recharge it (in 12 minutes) up to 10 times in the wild.

Eight minutes of flight time and a twelve minute recharge and getting ten recharges out of the egg actually isn't that bad for such a small flying thing. This might actually be a lot of fun, which is why I already bought one. "And?" MAIDEN FLIGHT, STUCK IN A TREE.

Keep going for a couple more shots (including one of the bird on its charging egg) and a worthwhile video of the bird in flight.
