Harry Potter Fan Paints First Page Of Sorcerer's Stone On Living Room Wall

This is Harry Potter fan Meredith McCardle and her living room wall. She used a projector to trace the words from the first page of Sorcerer's Stone on it, then painted it all in over the course of three weeks. It looks good. She even painted the electrical wall plate. That was a nice touch. It's all about the details, you know? I don't know. I tried painting my living room wall and ended up punching four holes through it and now I can access my bedroom closet from the sofa. Granted it's never come in handy, but I can do it. My landlady said I probably won't be getting any of my deposit back but I plan on burning the building to the ground when I move anyways so it's whatever.

Keep going for a couple shots of the process.

Thanks to YesYouCan, who apparently believes in me but will eventually live to regret like everybody else who has.

The woman who wrote Harry Potter... "Oh no, I have just gotten my characters into a real bind that they can realistically not get out of... Looks like it is the end... Oh wait! I can use magic to get them out of that situation"... 700 times later "Yeah this never gets old".

Why paint on the Power Outlet. Find a empty wall.

  • Philosopher's stone.

Bert- You don't have a fucking chance, nerd.
Takashi- Good luck to you too, Bert!
    Bert- Fuck off.

...at least it's not something from Twilight.

I don't understand adults who are obsessed with stories about children. I've actually walked out on a girl during a date when she said she was obsessed with Harry Potter. You're 28 fucking years old, get real. I walked straight out, did not say a word, never talked to her again....and damn it felt so good. I don't need that shit lol. Geek does not = for children. I love many geek franchises Star Trek, Star Wars, Stargate, Resident Evil (movies and games) Batman, Tron, Assassin's Creed, Iron Man, LOTR, etc, etc, BUT NONE OF THEM ARE ABOUT FUCKING KIDS, FEATURING KIDS! Harry Potter and Doctor Who are two things I consider garbage and you could not pay me to watch them. I do not understand adults who are obsessed with Harry Potter novels or movies, its about kids for kids. Like why, just why? The stories are that good? aaaaand you can't find other equally good stories? Ever since the first Harry Potter movie came out, all I've wanted to do is punch Harry so hard in his face his glasses break. Im not usually violent but I cannot verbalize how much I hate Harry Fucking Potter.

Apparently you don't understand yourself, because some of the things you listed were originally for children. Also, this: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/...

I really don't like you. You are the kind of person who thinks Disney is only for children. These stories are for EVERYONE. Also, you are forgetting the fact that a lot of adults read these books when they were kids. What? Are they just supposed to stop liking the thing they grew up with because YOU say its just for kids?

  • I don't like you.

  • Cheese

What the hell is wrong with people? It's a book written for children!

  • HelloWorld

Oh no! People like something you don't like.... people like something that children can also like.... the inhumanity of it all....

  • The Chadwick

YES! Some one else with some common sense. MY THOUGHTS EXACTLY!!!

  • The Magnificent Newtboy

99% of geeky stuff is for kids.

  • The Chadwick

Yea but its not necessarily about kids. Yea there may be adults in the Potter movies but its about kids, like who the fuck cares to watch that?

  • palpable ovaltine

Only several thousand pages to go.

  • Deksam

Good Idea, I can't say I would dig that text in my place.
2nd amendment in calligraphy might be cool on my wall though.

"A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."

  • Deksam

Well maybe enough constitution to fit a whole wall then.

  • Eric

I think you mean keep and arm bears.

  • Anon the Mouse

I think the slight wavyness actually gives it character. I think she could have chosen a much more interesting page though... I get the idea that it is the very first page of the very first book but it's mostly about the Dursleys who are giant butts.
