Real Things That Exist: Basketball Shoe Cowboy Boots

March 24, 2016

These are the basketball shoe cowboy boots spotted by somebody wearing a reflective safety vest at a boot store in probably Texas. Tony Lama is a real brand of boot so I think these are real and not some one-off knock-offs. Especially for $200. I kind of want a pair. You think I could dunk in them? "Can you dunk now?" No. "Then probably not." You think I could make love in them? "Like make love wearing them or make love to them?" The second one. "Only if you buy them first." I was afraid you were gonna say that.

Thanks to HF, who already owns a pair of cowboy moonboots and can jump over a regulation basketball hoop.

These would go perfectly with some Ed Hardy gear.

These have been around for years. And yes, they are in Texas as well as other southern states. They are called Tenniboots. I have only seen one guy wearing them. A 300lbs teamster truck driver in the break room at my previous work about a decade ago.. actually... wow.. it was a decade ago lol.. yea.. nobody in the breakroom seemed like they thought they were cool. Poor tacky bastard.

    It's just a prank, pilgrim.

    Cowboy Sneaker.

Do they come in white/yellow, or black/orange? Cuz then they would rule.

  • Darren Mustang

That is quite literally the dumbest looking thing I have ever seen to put on one's feet. And $200? What complete moron would actually pay $200 for these?

  • Matt Galindo

thats in Oklahoma. not Texas. although i wouldn't be surprised if it was here.

There is not a single person that would refrain from kicking the crap out of whomever was actually wearing those... Hell the cashier would slap you in the mouth before taking your credit card. The rest of the employees would line up to kick you in the nuts on the way out. Babies would leap from their strollers and mother's arms to eye gouge you. People wearing Crocs, Uggs and "toe shoes" would be thankful it's not them, and feel bad for you, just a little, while they curb stomp you with the rest of the crowd.
