Sleeping Under The Stars: Clear Inflatable Bubble Tents

February 29, 2016

These are the clear inflatable bubble tents available from Hollyweb on Amazon (previously: rentable room bubble tents available in France). They cost around $1,600 and provide zero privacy whatsoever. Still, I guess it will be nice to know when you're out camping at night and hear a sound outside your bubble tent you'll be able to tell whether it's a bear or a man with a machete. Not that your reaction should be different either way (pop the tent on your camping partner and escape while your would-be attacker is distracted).

Keep going for a couple more shots.

Thanks to my buddy BCC, who once camped on the moon and said the view was out of this world. Could have used some more oxygen though because he's super dead now.

  • I couldn't use this.
    I sleep naked.

  • the antagonist

All the more reason you should use it!

  • The_Wretched

I see this tent being great for exhibitionists who like to be comfortable in the great outdoors.

The inside temperature of that things in the middle of a sunny day would probably melt some plastics..

  • Meh

With the amount of uncivilized people that are storming in on my side, i highly stress not getting something like this unless you want to be instantly robbed, raped and killed.

  • Perkoff

This will not protect you from a lion attack.

  • Dave

If you poke a hole on the tunnel end, does it go flying through the forest with you in it? That could be worth $1600.. Also, is it the smartest idea to stick a buoyant anything that close to the water? Based on the shells and rocks, tides gonna be comin in tonight.

  • Ed

You wake up and find out and you are now a sea captain lol.

  • Jenness

This looks hot, how do you not have it smell that plastic smell (which ruins the natural beauty part), and suffocating. I feel like this is great in theory but in reality it needs a venting system and air conditioning / heating. Also, how to get the condensation from building up inside?

  • This'd be awesome for Naked Camp...

  • DeksamTorrac

I see suffocating from CO2 build up, might be a real issue if there is no circulating air pump always whining in the background.

  • Josh Painfull

so people can watch you sleep.
