Guy Accidentally Sets Fire To Room During Livestream

October 6, 2015

livestream-housefire.jpg

This is a recorded livesteam video from some guy who sets fire to his room while trying to perform lighter tricks. Actually, I have no clue what he was trying to do. It wasn't safe though. Now he'll never get the fire smell out that room. Plus when he tries to sell those books on eBay he won't be able to lie and say they came from a smoke-free home.

Keep going for the video (fire starts around 5:00). Bonus points for ALMOST putting the fire out a couple times.

Thanks to Mungo9000, who only sets other people's houses on fire during livestreams.

    so fail

The video is down because of a copyright claim. I wonder if this guy doesn't want videos of the fire appearing on YouTube?

  • Thog

Thanks Youtube. No insurance claim for this guy.

When he left and closed the door behind him, I assumed he gave up trying to put it out and he evacuated. Leaving it unattended after piling flammables on top of it was the nail in the coffin, and I don't think anything he could have done afterwards would have put it out (except maybe a LOT more water, and/or a fire extinguisher.) All he had to do was toss it in the middle of the floor and stomp on it, or just throw the entire burning mass out the window or something.

I for one would welcome the fire as a new member of the household. It seems to be the smartest among them, and would give him easier access to lighting his cigerettes.

In then the wife(?) runs in, oblivious to his idiocy because she was prolly in the other room trying to dry a tidal wave with a super soaker.

  • i'll just put this with the rest of the fire: http://33.media.tumblr.com/...

You're all looking at this the wrong way. if anyone knows anything about out of control fires, (like this guy clearly does) you know that you have to start a controlled fire to take the oxygen out of the first fire. That's it . . that's . . that is what he was . . doing . . (holds finger to lips and closes laptop) shhhhhhh, goodnight sweet prince.

What........the hell was that thing that kept talking in the background?

  • Fate Jacket X

Okay I just found out. It's a program that speaks out loud what his viewer is typing in the chatroom. I still wanna know what the viewer is saying though, and why would the viewer be typing at all, knowing that he can't respond...

  • Fate Jacket X

Yeah really, i've been to different sites talking about the video and no one has answers about the creepy kid voice that's totally non-reacting to all this.

  • Biscuts

There is a delay in the stream and chat anywhere for a few seconds to a few minutes. That might have been left over chat from when he started doing the trick and before things got out of hand.

  • Fate Jacket X

that makes more sense to me now, thanks

  • MustacheHam

He might be the type of guy who get's all his logic from playing Minecraft [note the beginning of the video]...hitting fire IRL doesn't make it go away, that's what a fire extinguisher is for.

  • MostlyPonies

Plus he ran to get a bucket of water.

  • Tyguy

...so, is this guy alive still? Is his place burned down?

  • Clay Agnew

"He and his family are alive." is what it says in the details. could be a cover-up tho

He's basically been given/bought a matchless lighter that houses the wick in the stem, which is what he pulls out. You're only supposed to put in some lighter fluid but not much, just enough to soak the webbing inside. Then you use the stem to strike the flints on the side to create a spark and light the wick long enough for you to light your death stick. However because this guy doesn't know how to use one he overloads the chamber with lighter fluid and then proceeds to throw the lit stem in the bin with all the tissues covered in lighter fluid thus causing his house to burn down, not because of the bin but because he was stupid enough to use a large cardboard box to stomp out the flames and just left it on top of the burning pile while he went to fill a small basin full of water. A small basin that took almost the same time to fill a japanese bath...

  • KriegAffe

    yeah, tell it again

You should go on a commentary bender and post in depth run downs on every youtube video you see
