Did I get it?
This is the surveillance footage/video news report about a man who spotted a spider on his gas tank when he was about to pump gas. So what did he do? What any other person who I can't believe has lived long enough to be able to drive a car would do -- he pulled out his lighter to burn it and set the whole gas pump ablaze. What a magnificent creature.
The man grabbed a nearby extinguisher and put out the flames before firefighters arrived. Later he admitted what he did, saying he spotted a spider on his gas tank and because he's deathly afraid of the critters.
This charred fuel pump says it all. We are told his car was barely damaged from the flames. But his embarrassing mistake didn't stop the man from coming back the next day as a customer.
"He was sorry," Susan said. "He was sorry, he said he didn't know. It is just one of those things that happen - stupidity."
Ahahahhahahaha, of course he came back the next day -- he never actually got any gas the first time. But seriously, how is this man still alive? It is important for me to believe that a person who would literally ignite a lighter ON HIS GAS TANK would have been Darwin'd out of society a long time ago. It just doesn't make any sense to me. The system is broken.

Thanks to Allyson and dougie, who agree the proper way to dispose of a spider at the gas pump is beating it with one of those windshield cleaning brushes that sits in the blue liquid.
