Ahahahahahha: When Street Drag Racing Goes Wrong

September 14, 2015

This is a video of a cool dude in his cool car who decides to challenge the guy next to him to a little street drag race. He loses. It brought me great joy. If I could witness this once a day in real life I think I would be a lot less angry and hateful. I don't though so I just want to watch the world burn. And that fire is going to start with my apartment building.

Hit the jump for your feel-good video of the day.

    haha, but this is entrapment.

Give them an extra ticket for shooting the video in portrait mode.

I had this happen to me twice. Once the cop was doing 50-70 sprints on the freeway next to me in a similar car to that on the video. I was in a SL600 and needed to get off at the next exit. I finally cut over 3 lanes, ran her up to 140+ and blew past him. He lit me up, once I slowed down he waved me away.

Second time I was at a stop light. I actually noticed the UC next to me. The light was long and my passenger bet that I couldn't get to 100 before the next light. I took off and the UC lit me up. Came up to the car laughing, ran my info, etc. Told me he was narcotics and didn't have time to mess with a speeding ticket.

That's never happened to me, because I'm not a fucking asshole who endangers other drivers.

On the other hand, the world is overpopulated...

  • Cool story bro.

  • Andrew St. Andrew

Lemme guess, third time you crashed and died.

  • Matth. R.

You'd think he'd have learnt after the second time, but no...

Haha, this actually made me lol.

  • Jenness

I really really really hope this is real.

  • hearsetrax

well I've heard various tales like this ...... and even worse seen the few tactics used in more recent years
I'd die laughing if that had been a real cop

  • Octo

Wouldn't surprise me one bit if those lights were just for messing with racers and isn't a real cop.

When I had a Crown Vic Interceptor I used to mess with people all the time. I didn't even have lights. I learned that if you come up behind someone with a good 20 to 30 mph over their speed they exit the passing lane real quick. Unfortunately I got into that habit because if you drive the speed limit you tend to get some jerk driving beside you for 5 miles while they decide whether or not you're an undercover. So if you know anyone who owns a Crown Vic watch and see if they drive like a complete asshole. If they do, it's because they don't like people in their blind spots on the highway... or just because the car's overall characteristics lend themselves to driving like a moron. You know... slow and loud acceleration means you put your foot down harder than you need to. If the tires scream in a corner, don't worry... They just do that. You probably aren't wrecking unless all four tires are screaming. But the passenger seat is safer than the driver's seat by a whole star (passenger safety rating for 90s Vics were 5 star. Driver safety was 4 star. Haven't checked more recent years but the design didn't really change much).
