Note: Larger version with bigger numbers HERE.

This is a chart breaking down the different gases that make up the atmospheres of all the planets in our solar system. Did you know that four out of five people don't know what the number one gas in the air we breathe on earth is? It's nitrogen. The air we breathe is 78% nitrogen. Most people think air is predominately oxygen, but that's because they're stupid. Unless that's what you thought, in which case, hey, common misconception.

Thanks to Marcus O, who can breathe underwater and promised to take me to Atlantis.

Hmm...Uranus comprises of a lot of methane. Who knew?

  • ODwanKenObi

Uranus actually has more methane than any other planet. Way to go Uranus!

  • Jenness

That's hilarious. I can't wait to tell my kid this, he's going to think that's so cool.

  • MustacheHam

    Thanks.
Also point out it's one of the gas giants. :)

  • Fercho

    And accurate! No lying.
