Millennium Falcon Toy Repurposed As Record Turntable

This is the 1977 Kenner Star Wars Millennium Falcon toy that was stuffed with the guts of a Technics SL-1200 turntable by Marco Garza. It makes the perfect record player for listening to John Williams' original Star Wars score. Or Pink Floyd's Dark Side Of The Moon. It's a record player -- play whatever the hell you want to on it. Just not spin-the-bottle. "Why not?" Kissing is icky, grown-ups do it! "Jesus, how old are you, GW?" Mentally or physically? "Mentally." Like seven. "And physically?" I feel like a fat 55-year old.

Keep going for a couple shots of the build process.

Thanks to Luc, who's still hoping for 8-tracks to have the same resurgence in popularity that vinyl has enjoyed.

Why did he have to ruin an original '77 Falcon toy when there's millions of newer ones from the '95 collection to now? Thing had value, now it's cool but worthless.

"I found a 1977 Millennium Falcon toy years ago (most sure it was 1995 or 1996) for two dollars..." source
