Fully Customized Movie-Accurate TMNT Action Figures

custom-tmnt-movie-toys-1.jpg

These are the TMNT movie-based action figures (links to eBay auction) that were fully customized and painted by John Harmon of Mint Condition Customs (of these other painted Ninja Turtle action figures fame) to look way less shitty than they originally come. Unsurprisingly, John did a great job as usual and polished these turds so fine you could probably see your reflection in them (before and after shots below). So, how many of you went to see the new TMNT movie this weekend? How was it? I thought about going then decided against it. Just kidding, I had to spend the whole weekend in jail and didn't have a choice choice. I did make some new friends though. "You mean lovers?" Yes :(

Keep going for a bunch of closeups and the before and after shots.

Thanks to Marie and Mike, who agree they sure don't make 'em like they used to.

This set sold on eBay for just over 800$ .....yeah, thats right EIGHT HUNDRED.

  • those figures look totally gay like the village people on steroids

  • PyroLoveridge

They look great, but look at the originals... It's like they don't bother making even a tiny effort with the toys now :(

  • TJ Wilferd

    They are really nice!

This is like watching the HD version of a Morgan Freeman movie only to notice how terrible his skin looks.

Seriously though, them turts are still butt-fugly. I just can't excuse it without good reason, like a post-apocalyptic scenario.

I never had painting skills. This work is top notch.

You gotta have skills "You know, like nunchuku skills, bow hunting skills, computer hacking skills... Girls only want boyfriends who have great skills."

  • As a custom toy maker, I am never surprised what someone can do with the right motivation, and a little bit of paint.

Mint Condition does fantastic work as is evidenced by the pictures above.
