Paraplegic Man Kicks World Cup Opening Kick Thanks To Robotic Exoskeleton Suit
In arguably the only respectable use of robotics, 29-year old paraplegic Juliano Pinto used a full-body robotic suit to kick the first kick at the opening ceremonies of the World Cup yesterday. The exoskeletal suit is mind-controlled, so you think, "left foot step", and the left foot steps. You think "Kick," and it kicks. You think, "Kick ass," and everyone around you dies. Thankfully that did not happen.
Keep going for a very short video of the kick, and a longer one about the suit.
Thanks to WF and Irina, who would have performed classic Charlie Brown rainbow kicks.
