8-Hours Of Planes Taking Off At LAX In A Single Image

IMAGE REMOVED

This is a composite shot created by Redditor and photographer kolnidur featuring eight hours of planes taking off on an LAX runway. How you can stand around for eight hours taking pictures of planes taking off at LAX and not get picked up by the airport po-po as a potential terrorist is beyond me. The TSA actually lifts and separates my balls whenever I fly out of there.

Thanks to Morgan, who only takes pictures of the stranger who fell asleep on his shoulder during the flight.

It doesn't seem like enough airplanes. There are more than 1,500 landings and takeoffs every day at LAX, so that would be about 750 takeoffs. Given that he was only at one runway, I would expect a few hundred planes in the photo.

He didn't exactly set the camera on a tripod with a 30sec time-lapse...

It's a not quite as aesthetically pleasing photoshop composite emulating this Hannover one from some time back:

...& 2/3rd's into the compositing process before he started moving planes around!!!

In other words, a pretty bit of photoshop.

That will make a nice desktop wallpaper. Cool shot.
